FREE NBA PICKS FOR DECEMBER 29, 2009

Greetings. We were very bad last night-our first losing night in quite some time- with a terrible 3-4 record. We did nail our Lock, but our overall season ATS record now stands at 109-92-5. For Locks, we are 4-2-1. On with tonight’s picks:

LOCKS:

Knicks @ Pistons -4.5: Only one Lock tonight and this is it. The Pistons are finally getting their stars healthy, but they are in a terrible funk. It will take some time for them to get back to the standards they are used to. That said, we love them tonight. Consider that the home team in this match-up is 17-8 ATS in their last 25 meetings. We love the healthy Pistons. Take the Pistons and give the points.

PICKS

Thunder @ Wizards +1: For the first time this season the Thunder have won 3 straight games. They go for their 4th tonight and we love their chances. They are hot right now and Kevin Durant is playing as well as anyone. Take the Thunder and give the point.

Cavs @ Hawks -2: We love that the Hawks are favored in this. We think they are a much better team. They play well together and they can run with anyone. They have too many weapons. Look for a terrible game from Shaq tonight. Take the Hawks and give the points.

Pacers @ Bulls -7: This line is pretty comical given how bad the Bulls are and their coaching woes. Still, they should rally around their coach and play with some intensity at home, but don’t be surprised if the pacers win outright. This is too many points to pass up. Take the Pacers and the points

Timberwolves @ Spurs -11: The T’Wolves are on a decent spell as of late while the Spurs have been consistently inconsistent. On paper the Spurs dominate this match-up, but the Spurs are only 2-12 ATS in their last 14 against the NBA Northwest and they are very bad as double digit favorites. Take the T’Wolves and the points.

Hornets @ Rockets -6: We are very curious as to how the Rockets are going to respond to the TMac drama. The Hornets are iffy at best, but we love the points. Plus, the Hornets are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games in Houston. We like CP3 in this one. He will get them the cover. Take the Hornets and the points.

Warriors @ Lakers -11.5: The Lakers seem to be in one of their ruts, but they are at home facing a Warriors team that is still injured and just not as good. This is the perfect rebound game for the Lakers. Even without Artest, the Lakers should dominate this game. Take the Lakers and give the points.

Seven more games. Good luck.

FREE NBA PICKS FOR DECEMBER 28, 2009

Greetings. We are closing the 2009 portion of the season in winning style. Our season ATS record stands at 106-88-5. Of that, our locks are 3-2-1. We know it is not where we need to be, but we are winning each night. 7 Games on the docket tonight. This is what we like:

LOCKS

Thunder @ Nets +6: The Nets are making a habit of getting blown out this year. Of their 28 losses, only 9 have been by fewer than 10 points. They are a joke of a team right now. The Thunder will win their third straight. Take the Thunder and give the points.

PICKS

Bucks @ Bobcats -4.5: Bobcats are a completely different team at home (24-11 ATS in their last 35 home games) and they love Monday night games (9-2 ATS in their last 11). However, we still aren’t buying that they are a good team. Brandon Jennings has come down to reality as of late, but we like them to cover. They match-up well with the Bobcats. Take the Bucks and the points.

Wizards @ Grizzlies -5.5: We love the Wizards’ D in this game. We think they match-up well against the Grizzlies. Don’t be surprised in Washington wins outright. Take the Wizards and the points.

Lakers @ Suns +1: The Lakers have dominated this match-up as of late and look to build some momentum after their overtime win against the Kings. The Lakers are exactly what the Suns hate-a large and athletic team that plays well together. That is the recipe for beating the Suns. The Suns are off one of their worse performances of the season last time out. Even without Artest, the Lakers will still get the best of them. Take the Lakers and give the point.

Nuggets @ Kings +2: The Nuggets have been terrible since Chauncey Billups injured his groin. However, the Kings will probably be without Tyreke Evans and Sean May tonight. Those are bigger losses. Take the Nuggets and give the points.

76ers @ Trail Blazers -6: The 76ers have dominated this match-up as of late and they should get Iverson back tonight. The Blazers have been hot-covering in their last 4 games. We don’t think it will be 5 straight tonight. Take the 76ers and the points.

Celtics @ Warriors +6: The Celtics are one of the best road teams in the league, but they have not done well when visiting the Warriors. Still, they play outstanding D. The Warriors are hot off their pounding of a Suns team that played no D whatsoever. Tonight will be different. They will get all the D they can handle tonight. Take the Celtics and give the points.

Road team sweep for us tonight. That hasn’t happened before, but we are sticking with our system.

Good Luck,

FREE NBA PICKS FOR DECEMBER 16, 2009

Greetings folks. We are loving this NBA season and we are coming at you with new angles with which you can make some scratch. Between early NFL action this week, the NCAA Bowl Season and NBA every night, we’ve been crunching numbers like mad!!! For the NBA, our overall season ATS record stands at 93-80-4. Of that, we are 3-1 ATS in our locks. If you’ve followed our site, you know that typically we have stayed away from giving “locks.” This is because we are confident with every game we pick/make public. Simply put, if it doesn’t pass our tests, we don’t pick it. That said, through our numbers crunching, we’ve noticed things that seem to come true even more than our typical picks. These are our “locks,” but note that they don’t pop-up too much so there may be nights where none exist. Tonight, we have two!!!!! Here is what we like:

LOCKS OF THE NIGHT

Lakers @ Bucks +5.5: The Lakers are the lock. Press this like crazy. Take the Lakers and give the points.

Wizards @ Kings -3: The Wizards are the lock. Go crazy. Take the Wizards and the points.

PICKS

Cavs @ 76ers +6: Take the Cavs and give the points.

Raptors @ Magic -11: Take the Magic and give the points.

Bobcats @ Pacers -3.5: Take the Bobcats and the points.

Grizzlies @ Hawks -9.5: Take the Grizzlies and the points.

Jazz @ Nets +8.5: Take the Nets and the points.

Mavs @ Thunder +2.5: Take the Thunder and the points.

Pistons @ Hornets -4.5: Take the Hornets and give the points.

Clippers @ T’Wolves -1.5: Take the Clippers and the points.

Rockets @ Nuggets -8.5: Take the Nuggets and give the points.

Spurs @ Warriors +5.5: Take the Warriors and the points.

There you go-12 winners for tonight!!!!

Good luck,

FREE NBA PICKS FOR NOVEMBER 19, 2009

Greetings. Back-to-back terrible nights for us. We went 3-5 ATS on Tuesday and followed it up with a 6-6 night. Not a losing night (except for the vig), but not even in the same area code of where we need to be. With that, our season record ATS stands at 43-34-1. Here is what we like tonight:

Suns @ Hornets +8: The Suns must be looking forward to rollin’ into the Big Easy right now. Especially Steve Nash who will not have to put up with Chris Paul on either side of the ball. This is HUGE for this match-up. With CP3 in the line-up, this is a much different team. It will free-up Nash on both sides of the ball. Phoenix are terrible on their last few Thursday games (5-17 ATS in their last 22) and against the Hornets (2-8 ATS in their last 10 meetings). However the head-to-head stat, we think, is a product of CP3. Now that he is out, this is a different game. The only injury the Suns have is Robin Lopez. This won’t be a factor. Take the Suns and give the points.

Beware Hornets!! If All Else Fails, The Suns Will Resort to Groping to Get Us a Cover!!!!

Beware Hornets!! If All Else Fails, The Suns Will Resort to Groping to Get Us a Cover!!!!

Jazz @ Spurs -5: The home team (19-7 ATS in their last 26 meetings) and favorite (19-7 ATS in their last 26 meetings) has a huge advantage in their series as of late. Both teams are off games last night with the Jazz travelling into San Antonio for tonight’s game. The Spurs are off a tough loss to the Mavericks in Dallas last night. That game showed us that the Spurs cannot beat good teams with just Tim Duncan alone. It is too much to ask. Tonight, there is a good chance he rides solo again as Ginobili is out and there is a good chance Tony Parker will not play. Not good for the Spurs. Deron Williams is getting his legs back underneath him, and he looked great last night. That will be the key to this game-the Jazz bring way too many healthy weapons to the court. They may not win, but they will cover. Take the Jazz and the points.

Although He Won't Be Playing Tonight, His Annoying Style of Play Will Still Manage to Anoy Us From the Bench! The Flop Will Not Cover!!!!

Although He Won't Be Playing Tonight, His Annoying Style of Play Will Still Manage to Annoy Us From the Bench. The Flop Will Not Cover!!!!

Bulls @ Lakers -9.5: Game two for the Bulls on their annual circus road trip. They spanked the Kings in game one. Tonight they get a much harder opponent in the Lakers. The Lakers have struggled as of late, but they seemed to turn it around last time out against the Pistons. They get a HUGE lift tonight as Pau Gasol is scheduled to return. He poses huge problems for the Bulls. He will be the key along with the Lakers front court. They will have too much for the Bulls. We are going against the grain a little on this-most of the significant ATS numbers scream take the Bulls. Take the Lakers and give the points.

As always, good luck with your picks.

NBA PICKS FOR NOVEMBER 17, 2009

Greetings folks. 2-1 last night brings our season ATS record to 34-23-1. Not great, but we are inching closer and closer to our standards. There are a ton of games tonight which equals a ton of more opportunities for us to make you scratch!! Here is what we like tonight:

Warriors @ Cavs -14.5: This is a huge amount of points to give, especially for a Cavs team that is not blowing out teams like it did last year. However, this Warriors team is starting from scratch. They may only have 7 available players tonight as Stephen Jackson (traded-thankfully for Warriors fans), Raja Bell (wrist), Andris Biedrins (abs), Brandan Wright (Shoulder) and Kelenna Azubuike (knee) are out and CJ Watson (Swine Flu) and Vladimir Radmanovic are doubtful for tonight. Ridding themselves of Stephen jackson is a great move to build this franchise in the right direction, however, they will have too little for a rested Cavs team. We regret the points, but the Cavs should cover. Take the Cavs and give the points.

Jack prison stripes

At Least The Warriors Fans Won't Have to Deal With This Anymore

Pacers @ Nets +4.5: The Nets can’t buy a win. They are the only winless team in the league. They are crushed win injuries and they are playing a Pacers team that has really turned their season around. Also, nearly all ATS numbers say take the Pacers. Then why are we even going into this game in any sort of analytical way??? Because we are taking the Nets!!! That is what our analysis says and we are sticking to it. Take the Nets and the points.

We Love Ya Hovi, But They Won't Suck Tonight!!!

Thunder @ Heat -6.5: The Thunder have to be the surprise team of this early season. They are playing tough and even when they lose, they show you that they are on the right track. They get a tough test in Miami tonight against a Heat team that has not ventured too far from South Beach this season. The Heat have been good, but they struggled defensively their past two times out. However, the Heat will be rested and should get O’Neal and Chalmers back tonight. We think this will be a fun game to watch, but the Heat will muscle out the cover in the end. Ignore the fact that the road team is 8-0 ATS in the last head-to-head meetings. Take the Heat and give the points.

Now That the Grandparents Are In Bed, The Kids Can Play!!!!

Clippers @ Hornets -2.5: The Hornets will be without CP3 for quite a while and they are in a huge donwspin. They fired their coach and pissed off their best player in pretty much one night. Tonight they get a Clipp team that they have dominated in recent years (11-1 ATS in their last 12 meetings). However, this is not the typical Clippers and this is certainly not the same Hornets team that has covered in most of those games. Losing CP3 is HUGE. It means that Baron Davis is not as old as he really is which will allow him more freedom on both sides of the ball. We love the Clippers here. Take the Clippers and the points.

If It Worked For Arod and The Yankees, It Can Work For the Clippers, Too!!!!

Suns @ Rockets -3: We love the Suns in this one. They hit a little of a lull the past two games, but they should bounce back tonight. We don’t buy into the Rockets. We think it is a lot of smoke and mirrors. We think the Suns win this game outright. Take the Suns and the points.

Raptors @ Nuggets -8: The Raptors have been decent this year and have two of the best big men in the league. However, this Nuggets team is nasty and the Raptors have not had much luck in the Mile High city. We love the Nuggets here. They will be rested and this is a long road trip for the Raptors. Plus, they are Canadian and they won’t know what hit them-haha!. Take the Nuggets and give the points.

Just Remember Who You Are Dealin' Wit Toronto!!!!!

Bulls @ Kings +3: This is the start of the yearly “Circus Road Trip” for the Bulls as they begin their daunting travels due to the circus coming to Chicago. This is a tough first stop on the journey for them as they play a Kings team that is lovin’ the home life. Arco Arena is a tough place to play, and the Bulls have not had much luck their in recent history (2-6 ATS in their last 8 against the Kings).  We are taking the Kings. Love the points. Take the Kings and the points.

Not Luol's House Tonight!! The Kings Will Reign!!!

Pistons @ Lakers -9.5: The Lakers look to avoid their 3rd straight loss and are coming off two of their worse games in years. They have been terrible ATS this year (3-7) and Kobe is nursing a groin sprain. However, the Pistons may be without Rodney Stuckey, which is a waaaayy bigger concern. Pistons own this match-up ATS (12-5-1 ATS in the last 18 meetings). However, we think the Lakers right the ship tonight. Take the Lakers and give the points.

As always, good luck with your picks.

NBA PICKS: SEASON KICK-OFF

Greetings folks!!!! Another glorious NBA season is upon us and we couldn’t be happier!!!!! This is such a great time of year. World Series. NCAA Football is in full swing. So is the NFL. Hockey is rocking. Such a great time to be a sports fan.

If you followed us the past couple of years, you know we are NBA nuts and that we love to pick games. This is our 3rd season picking NBA games. Last year we started well and ended in a slump. In our first ear we did pretty well. Our system for the NBA is a little different than the systems we use for NCAA Football and the NFL. Since there are so many more games to track, we try to find a balancing system that combines our math analytics with trends that we see develop. We don’t know how it will work this year, but as always, our money is where our mouth is-whatever we post is what we have a vested interest in. So, if you ride with us, we will be there for the good and bad. That said, here is what we like on Day 1:

Celtics @ Cavs -4: The Cavs open the season with a HUGE difference in the middle. In every sense of th word, Shaq is a much bigger presence in the middle than anyone the Cavs have had since Rick Smits. We have no tangible evidence to determine the effect Shaq will have on this team. However, the Cavs still have #23 and he is better than anyone in the league. We are banking the Cavs have enough to cover tonight. The energy will be high and the Cavs will be looking to make a statement. Plus, father time has had one more year to wear on the aging Celtics. Take the Cavs and give the points.

Wizards @ Mavs -8:The Wizards could be the most improved team without adding any players. For the first time in two seasons, they have a healthy Agent 0. That is huge for this team because if he is on, this tea is much, much better. However, they will be without Antwan Jamison who discloated his shoulder in an exhibition game. No doubt the Wiz will be better, but the Mavericks are just too deep. Besides retaining their core, they added great depth with Drew Gooden, Shawn Marion and Tim Thomas. Each of those players, arguably, could be starters right now on the Wizards. We don’t think this game will be close. Take the Mavs and give the points.

Rockets @ Trailblazers -8.5: Probably the easiest game of the night for us-the Rockets have no Tao and no T-Mac. The Blazers are young, athletic, fact and at home. Oden may get the start at center (finally). We love the Blazers. Take the Blazers and give the points.

Clippers @ Lakers -11: Talk about an off-season for the world champs!!! The addition of Artest makes this an extremely mean front court. They were one of the best in the NBA without him, now they are just lethal. They own the Clippers and want nothing more to unveil their latest championship banner at home against their in-town “rivals.” We think this game will be out of reach very quickly. The Clippers are young and athletic, but they cannot hang with the champs. At least not yet anyway. Baron Davis cannot beat Kobe, Bynum, Gasol and Artest on his own.  Take the Lakers and give the points.

As always, good luck with your picks.

Free Winning NBA Picks: 4/1/09

Greetings folks. Sorry for the no-show yesterday. There were a ton of games to play with, but we had some personal issues to take care of. Through our last published picks (3/30/09), our record is 21-27-1 overall and 5-5-1 in Game 1’s. Wish we could say that is an April’s Fools joke, but it is what it is. We give full disclosure and we will take it on the chin. We know our system works. We just need to work through the funk. No better time like the present. Here is what we like tonight:

Game 1: Lakers -6.5 vs. Bucks. The Lakers looked terrible last night and face a pretty daunting road trip for their back-to-back game. However, this is the Lakers and they are playing the Bucks. They will cover. Plus, they crush our system match-up and win our two special keys. We got love for the West Coast!!!!!

Game 2: Magic -9.5 vs. Raptors. The key to this pick is home court. We love the Magic at home. We love how manchild Dwight Howard is absolutely schoolin’ suckahs right now. We love the backcourt play, too. The Raptors are coming in for a back-to-back game. The Magic dominate our system match-up and win our two keys. Ka-CHING!!!!! Give the points.

Game 3: Pistons +1 vs. Nets. Pay attention to the line you get. We are getting this as the Pistons as the Dog, but we’ve heard it is the exact opposite. Hopefully you are getting what we did, but +1 is where we got the line. We love this game and think the Pistons win outright. The Nets can certainly score, but the Pistons are getting healthy. Plus, they win our match-up. We are taking them and the points.

Game 4: Warriors -8.5 vs. Kings. We actually don’t like making this pick, but we are sticking to our system. Our system says Warriors (the Warriors win our system match-up and our two keys), but our gut says stay away. Our system wins, so we are riding the Warriors and giving the points.

Game 5: Hornets -3.5 vs. Clippers. Man, when will the Clipp be good?!?!?!?! Not tonight. The Hornets will stomp them. They sweep our system and our two keys. Give the points.

Game 6: Rockets +1.5 vs. Suns. We think it is telling that this line is this close. The Rockets play nasty D and they need this win. The Suns may need it more, but they cannot match the Rockets’ intensity. The Rockets our Dogs, but win our match-up. We love that combo. Even on the road. Take the points.

As always, good luck.

Enough with the cyberspeak and on with the picks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight’s season opener has three games that have plenty of side stories. First, the new look Cavs head into Beantown to face the world champion Boston Celtics. Next, the Bulls welcome their neighbors to the North for this bitter Midwest match-up. Finally, the Lakers welcome back Andrew Bynum to host the young guns of the Portland Trialblazers. Here are our take and picks:

Cavs @ Celtics (-6.5):Indeed, the C’s will be raising their 17th NBA Championship banner before tonight’s game to add fuel to this up and coming rivalry. The Cavs will have a new face in their line-up as Mo Williams makes the start at point. Mo finally gives Lebron a legit scoring threat and dangerous distributor of the rock. We think the Cavs cover. The Reason? Mo Williams. The Cavs gave the Celtics fits last year in the playoffs. That was without a threat like Williams. Williams adds so much to this team because he is someone the Celtics have to account for. It takes pressure off Lebron and will give him more looks. That is what the Cavs were hoping for ever since the first day Lebron stepped onto the court. We think Lebron is the MVP this year. Also, the Celtics were an old team last year. They are one year older this year. Take the Cavs and the points in a revenge game.

Bucks @ Bulls (-6):The Bucks head down I-94 to face the Bulls. The Bucks are a completely new team, so it is tough to judge how they will be. They certainly added a legit scoring threat in Richard Jefferson, but the Bulls made probably the biggest splash in the offseason by being terrible last year-they took local baller Derek Rose with the first pick in the draft. Should they have taken Beasley? Only time will tell, but if preseason is any indication, the bulls will not be disappointed in their choice. Rose dropped 30 on the Mavs last week in their preseason match-up. He certainly has the tools and appears to be ready. We’ll see. What does that mean for tonight? Nothing, really. The Bulls starters have played together longer and they are just better. They will pound this game and win easily. We think it is an easy cover. Take the Bulls -6.

Blazers @ Lakers (-8): The Baby Blazers head down to LA to face the defending Western Conference champs. The Blazers are young and full of energy as the welcome Greg Oden to his regular season NBA debut. With him, Aldridge and Roy the Blazers are set for a lot of years to come. However, right now the Lakers are just LOADED and way ahead of the Blazers in skill and play. A front court of a healthy Bynum and Gasol is ridiculous to think about. They will score a ton of points this year. Throw in Kobe and it has all the makings of a severe beatdown. Take the Lakers -8.

There you go-our first NBA picks of the year!!! We can’t be more psyched about the season. Check us out tomorrow for our Day 2 picks.

Good luck,
